Sarasota Wellness MD is pleased to announce a new offering for established patients:

FAQ:

What types of problems may be addressed during Friday AM telehealth hours?
Examples include (but are not limited to), respiratory infection symptoms, sinus infections, +COVID19 test result or close contact exposure, urinary tract infections, sciatica flares or other joint/muscle pain, or flare/exacerbation of chronic medical condition.

What types of problems need a different type of visit or higher level of care than telehealth appointment?
Friday appointments are not for routine follow-up of chronic problems or lab follow up at this time. Please schedule those appointment types during normal business hours. Friday appointments are not for routine medication refills, which are addressed during normal office business hours. Furthermore, patients with severe or potentially life-threatening symptoms will be directed to seek in person care at an urgent care or ER for in person examination and ancillary testing that may be necessary for diagnosis and treatment of those conditions.

How do I schedule an appointment?
During regular business hours, call the office to make an appointment. After business hours on Thursday, you may request an appointment by sending an email to Friday@sarasotawellnessmd.com. Appointment requests will be reviewed up to 11AM on Friday morning.

Your email should include:
-patient first and last name
-date of birth
-best contact number
-reason for visit
-preferred pharmacy name and phone number
-indicate permission to bill your credit card on file and confirm last 4 digits of that card
(If there are any issues with using the on file card, billing will be addressed next business day)

How will I find out my appointment time if I send an email for an appointment request after business hours end on Thursday?
Friday morning appointment hours will be from 10am to 12 noon and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Emailed appointment requests sent prior to 9AM on Friday will typically be responded to with appt time by 9:30 AM. For emails sent between 9:30 AM and 11AM, patients should expect an update via secure texting about appointment availability, including their appointment time by 11:30AM. We are not able to accept new appointment requests after 11AM. As this is a new endeavor, please note that as time moves forward, we may adjust this process to facilitate optimal efficiency and patient experience.
